Marcus Thomas Earns Campaign of the Year Honors

The ColorMaster Challenge redefined digital and social media, and represented a new wave of content marketing for a consumer product. Rather than rely on big budget paid media, the campaign leveraged brand-owned media platforms and earned media from public relations, blogger relations and user participation.

The Challenge centered around a live Web event designed to demonstrate the power of the new Krylon ColorMaster spray paint by using the product to complete specific craft and DIY projects within a single weekend.   

Winners were chosen exclusively by working journalists from hundreds of entries representing the very best strategic and tactical prowess that PR/corporate communications has to offer. Campaigns were judged by a team of working journalists, who assessed them on the basis of their ability to achieve extraordinary visibility and influence opinion, as well as on their creativity, command of media and technology, and tenacity.
